The latest on the tree The Sycamore Gap tree was one of the most photographed in the country before it was felled in October 2023. The tree stood in a dramatic dip in Hadrian’s Wall in the Northumberland National Park, and in late 2016, it took the crown for English ‘Tree of the Year’ in the Woodland Trust’s awards.
